Let me just say that this trilogy was perfect in every way! I cannot believe how captivated and invested I was in these characters. It was amazing to see each character grow, new ones evolve and dangers arise.I totally enjoyed this trilogy, it was a different take on a sci-fi novel for me. Awesome conclusion and outstanding trilogy!

Like all the others I've reviewed [Order of the Seers:The Last Seer] is at once simple and oh so complex in its undertaking. Bringing about change in a human world inevitably involves destruction....but the selfless act that the seers give to humanity is one we can all learn from and live. To get the depth and breadth of this book you should read the series in order...this one does not stand as well on its own as perhaps the other two books can. It however is an ultimate ending. Beautifully done...Bravo to this author. Although not a YA book I would most certainly encourage my sixteen year old to read this series mostly because it does one thing so well...make you understand just what your personal actions can achieve or how they can ultimately cause destruction.

Each book picks up where the other ends and is action packed right from the start. The writing is superior and I have to say Cerece Rennie Murphy is going to be an author to watch out for. I know after flying through these I will be flying through the next books she releases.

Ms. Murphy's novel is an excellent example of why I love, not only indie authors, but debut authors so much. This book was fresh, hoppin' and a fun, yet engrossing read.

A fun adventure that teaches goodness and the power of friendship. It is a great book that helps take reluctant readers to the next level. The story is interesting and highlights the importance of team work and the unique characteristics each of us have that adds to the team. The sky is the limit with the adventures this crew can have! Such fun..

At a mere 33 pages, I was delighted at how the authors captured a fun and adventurous story succinctly in a manner that will inspire even the most reluctant of readers to pick up the book and read. The illustrator captures the essence of the characters with fierce illustrations that draw a child’s eye to the page. While this book would be listed as an “Early Chapter Book,” it stands to be put in a class of its own because of the bright, colorful illustrations throughout the book, the edgy, kid approved story line, and the short, easy to read chapters.

The vocabulary and reading levels are very appropriate for second and third grade readers. The...plot is great [and] kept my attention. I also like that the main characters are African-American children dealing with normal…lives. I have struggled to find books with African-American characters who are not stereotyped or set in a time period of racial struggle…great job!!!

Cerece Rennie Murphy fell in love with science fiction at the age of seven, watching “Empire Strikes Back” at the Uptown Theater in Washington, D.C., with her sister and mom. It’s a love affair that has grown ever since. As an ardent fan of John Donne, Alice Walker, Kurt Vonnegut, and Alexander Pope from an early age, Cerece began exploring her own creative writing through poetry. She earned her master’s degrees in social work and international relations at Boston College and Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies, respectively, and built a rewarding 15-year career in program development, management, and fundraising in the community and international development arenas – all while appreciating the stories of human connection told in science fiction through works like Octavia Butler’s “Wild Seed,” Frank Herbert’s “Dune” and “The X-Files.” In 2011, Cerece experienced her own supernatural event - a vision of her first science fiction story. Shortly after, she began developing and writing what would become the bestselling Order of the Seers trilogy. Order of the Seers was selected as one of The Best Kindle Books of 2014 by Digital Book Today. To date, Cerece has published ten speculative fiction novels, short stories, and children's books.
In addition to working on the 3rd book in the award-winning Ellis and The Magic Mirror children’s book series with her son and releasing her first short story collection, Cerece launched Virtuous Con, an online sci-fi convention in February 2021. Her current writing projects include a new steampunk fantasy series. Cerece lives and writes in her hometown of Washington, DC.
